The Problem

The Problem

Those who have been incarcerated come out facing a tremendous number of barriers to success.

From feeling isolated by limited social interaction to no access to current trends in workplace culture, technology, and emotional intelligence, they lack the skills necessary to build a positive productive lifestyle.

They also face legal discrimination for housing, employment, and some support services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the state pay for this?
No. The Local, State, and Federal prison systems have NO entrepreneurship programs or holistic career training programs.
How does it get paid for?
At this time, each of our students make an investment in their futures through tuition commensurate with their prison income. The rest is covered by a percentage of the profits of The Off Road Group.
Why do you only work with men?
92% of the people incarcerated in the US are men. More than half of them are fathers who have critical and underutilized roles in the lives of children. A Social ignition is the only program of its kind to specifically tailor our teaching style to the learning needs of men.
What can I do to help?
A Social Ignition is consistently looking for mentors to come to class, facilitators to lead the series, and coaches to work with men through the program.
