A Social Ignition and New Avenues For Youth have had a unique, collaborative partnership since 2013. New Avenues For Youth takes a complete approach to addressing youth homelessness and its root causes.
Both organizations share the philosophy that individual talents are a high-value, life asset and should not just be encouraged, but celebrated.
Here’s a few examples of how A Social Ignition and New Avenues For Youth collaborate.
David Hermens, an entrepreneur and current member of The Long Haul program at A Social Ignition, needed his logo for frozen yogurt and snack shop developed. One of New Avenues For Youth’s programs, called Inkubator, supported David by using their fabric print shop.
Here you see David working with New Avenues members. A finished product of David’s logo will likely be available by the end of May.
Sonja conducted a 2-day abbreviated version of The Ignition Option as an on-site program for New Avenues members. Throughout the two days, youth were highly engaged. It culminated in presentations and was a LOT of fun.
A Social Ignition has also used New Avenues screen print shop, Ink, to print our promotional t-shirts. Donors committing a $100 or more to ASI receive one.
Sonja sits on New Avenues’ Employment Advisory Board. The entrepreneurship skills and knowledge of resources needed to build a business, that A Social Ignition provides through its programs, are a perfect example of the types of partnerships New Avenues looks for in its community.
A Social Ignition celebrates its partnership with New Avenues For Youth and looks forward to future successful collaborations.
